Product Description
The bolt tightening force is converted via the conical surface into the surface pressure on the inner diameter side and the outer diameter side, thus fixing the coupling and the shaft.
<How to Use of Keyless Bushing (Fastening Fittings)>
① When applying lubricant, wipe off any dust on the shaft surface and apply a layer of lubricant or grease. ※Do not use lubricants or grease containing molybdenum-based antifriction agents.
② Positioning Assemble the elastic sleeve and coupling part and insert them into the shaft for positioning.
③ When tightening the bolt, use a torque wrench to tighten the locking bolt diagonally.
First tighten the bolt lightly (1/2 of the specified tightening torque) and then tighten to the specified tightening torque.
④ Finally, tighten the bolts in order in the circumferential direction with the specified tightening torque.
Product Overview of Keyless Bushing (Fastening Fittings)
Overview of Keyless Bushing (Fastening Fittings)
It is a friction connector that can easily and firmly fix the shaft and the coupling (pulley, sprocket, gear, etc.) just by tightening the bolt. The bolt tightening force is converted via the conical surface into the surface pressure on the inner diameter side and the outer diameter side, thus fixing the coupling and the shaft.

Caution of Keyless Bushing (Fastening Fittings)
① The inner bushing (main body) and outer bushing (ring, side ring) of the elastic sleeve may vibrate slightly during transportation, and the tapered parts may become wedged together.
When installing, first loosen the bolts and nuts, disassemble the main body, then loosen the wedge on the tapered surface and assemble.
② If the bolt is tightened before installing in the wheel hole or inserting into the shaft, the mechanical lock will be deformed and cannot be used.
③ Be sure to use the attached bolt for the locking bolt.

How to Use of Keyless Bushing (Fastening Fittings)
Step ① Check the installation space.
When assembling the mecha lock, use a torque wrench.
Please weigh the weight based on the assembly space.
Step ② Check material and surface treatment
MISUMI’s Mechalock allows you to select the material and surface treatment. Keyless Bushing (Fastening Fittings), In places with a lot of moisture, such as moisture or condensation, it is recommended to use electroless nickel plating or stainless steel. Available materials and finishes vary depending on the product range.
Step ③
Check the allowable input load of the mechanical lock Calculate the torque and load applied to the mechanical lock and check whether it is below the allowable value for each product group.
The input torque value of the elastic sleeve < the maximum allowable torque of the
elastic sleeve. The axial load applied to the elastic sleeve < the allowable axial load
width of the elastic sleeve can be used within the range of the JIS standard, but the allowable torque and allowable axial load are 15 to 20. % decrease.
Step ④ Check the rigidity of the shaft and wheel hole.
Check the yield stress of the shaft material used for the shaft, and select a material that is more than wheel hole lateral pressure × 1.2 for each series.
Check the yield stress of the material used for the wheel hole, and select a material of more than 1.2 wheel lateral pressure for each series.
In addition, the minimum outer diameter of the coupling part was calculated using representative materials. Please refer to the minimum outer diameter table of wheel holes for each product group.
