· A zero-order wave plate in which two crystal plates have been joined together.
· It can be used for polarization experiments that use various lasers.
· As it is a zero-order wave plate, there is little change in phase difference due to temperature or wavelength changes, making it very stable.
· There are two types of wavelength plate, the half-wave plate, which can rotate the polarization direction, and the quarter-wave plate, which can convert linear polarization to circular polarization.
· Because the two elements are joined together using an optical contact and an anti-reflection coating is applied to both the front and rear surfaces, a high level of transmittance can be obtained.
· * If incompatible wavelengths are incident, the phase difference will not be as specified.
· * If the wavelength deviates by 1%, the phase difference of the 1/2 wavelength plate shifts by 1.8° and that of the 1/4 wavelength plate shifts by 0.9°.
· * The frame thickness (6.3 mm) may differ depending on the specifications of the element.
