Circuit Breakers

Circuit breakers are safety devices that automatically interrupt the circuit when an excessive current is detected. Circuit breaker components include a switch mechanism, trip unit, arc chute, contacts, and more. These components are housed in a molded case with good insulation characteristics. Circuit breakers are generally called "breakers". Classifications are made by interrupting types and applications. Interrupting types can be classified into thermal magnetic, electromagnetic and electronic. Applications can be classified into safety breakers, motor breakers, 3-wire single phase neutral conductor protection breaker and JIS-compliant breakers. All types are designed for circuit protection and must be selected according to the rated current of the device to which the breaker is installed.
